Call for Projects

Eligible Applicants
Producers and creatives from the Nordic countries and Arctic/subarctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere, including Canada, Alaska and Greenland.
Project Requirements
Feature-length fiction projects.
Projects in advanced development or pre-production. Projects already in production may be considered on an exceptional basis.
A confirmed source of third-party financing or support, e.g. development grant (preferably).
World rights or US and major territories available.
An English-language script or English translation must be available by January 2027.
Projects with an international market appeal will be given priority.
Content of Submission
Completed submission form including project description, motivation, and visual materials.

Selected projects receive:
Industry accreditation for two participants per project (producer + creative), with access to industry activities and festival screenings during Tromsø International Film Festival.
Hotel accommodation for two participants.
A 7-minute on-stage project presentation at Arctic Discovery.
Tailored one-on-one meetings with international delegates.
Industry sessions exclusively for Arctic Discovery participants.
Hosted dinners, networking and social events.
Travel support is provided through the Arctic Discovery partners and may vary depending on the project’s country or region of origin.
Selected projects will receive full details on travel arrangements and cost coverage upon selection.

The selection is curated by Tromsø International Film Festival in collaboration with Arctic Discovery’s international partners, including the Finnish Film Foundation, Indigenous Screen Office, International Sámi Film Institute, Norwegian Film Institute and Arctic Film Norway.
