How to Attend

Arctic Discovery welcomes up to 15 international executives working across finance, sales, distribution and packaging, with mandates covering global and major international territories.

They are joined by key Nordic financiers and industry partners, alongside the producers and creatives presenting selected projects, bringing the overall group to around 60–70 participants.

Attendance is by invitation, keeping the forum intimate and ensuring a focused, high-quality setting for project presentations, meetings and new partnerships.

For invited delegates, Arctic Discovery covers flights, accommodation at our partner hotel, meals, programme activities and airport transfers in Tromsø.

Tromsø has direct connections from Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Reykjavik, London, Paris, Berlin, Munich and more. Our team will help arrange the most convenient travel itinerary for each guest.

For delegates continuing to Sundance, we can also assist with onward flight arrangements to the US. Those not travelling on to Sundance are encouraged to stay an additional day or two to experience the Tromsø International Film Festival and explore the Arctic surroundings.

The programme presents fiction feature projects from established and emerging producers and directors across the Nordic and Arctic regions.

Selected projects are in advanced development, with international rights available.

The selection is curated by Tromsø International Film Festival in collaboration with Arctic Discovery’s international partners, including the Finnish Film Foundation, Indigenous Screen Office, International Sámi Film Institute, Norwegian Film Institute and Arctic Film Norway.

Projects are introduced through 7-minute presentations, followed by tailored one-on-one meetings.

Executives choose which projects they would like to meet. The Arctic Discovery team organizes the one-on-one meetings on site based on executive interest.

The wider programme includes selected industry talks, hosted dinners and shared activities around Tromsø, including a sauna boat trip on the fjord and, conditions permitting, the Northern Lights.

Arctic Discovery builds on the financing forum Fiction Norway, organized 2020-2024 in Tromsø and Los Angeles. Previous editions welcomed executives from companies including:
